1. Bank needs a taxpayer id to report to the government. We are not
yet a corp, so can someone volunteer to be the taxpayer. Does the
individual open themselvs up to liability? Not sure, Dan will call
Steve Liberman.
2. Plumas? Seems fine. Ron talks to Carol at Plumas. Julie stop by
store and talk to get checks left at store.
3. Ron is now Treasurer pro-tem. Nominated, seconded and passed unanimously.
4. Bylaws. Lori about 2/3 way through the revisions. Membership:
property owner, one of [state issued id, proof of mailing receipt
(POB), proof of voter registrations]. Business owners [state or
county issued license, such as sellers permit, food and bev
license]. Resident membership is $20. Supporting membership is $10
(not board, all supporting members count as a single resident vote
and can nominate a single candidate for the board).
Fiscal year? If we vote in the summer but have the fiscal year
starting in January, then the treasurer takes over in the
middle. So should the fiscal year, membership and board term
start on July 1st.
5. Vision statement. Does it need to be incorporated in bylaws? We
need something like that for non-profit requirements. Need to expand
a bit about the public benefit of the corporation. How can we modify
the language of the existing vision statement to magnify the "public
benefit" aspect to insure non-profit statement.
6. Royal Gorge. Response the the draft proposal. Also nothing new on
the development at the store.
7. June meeting: June meeting on Saturday 11th, at 10am. Where? Ice Lakes?
8. Railroad corridor update from John, talked with Linda in Auburn.
First a study starting next year. Not ready until 2010.
9. Road and saftey, Lori reports neighbor needed to register a
trailer, asked about speeding. We need to have a survey done to judge
speed limit to make it enforceable. Need an engineering analysis.
10. Shinibo creek cabins. Talk of a resort group organization.
11. Meeting Tuesday May 3rd, 6:30pm
