Royal Gorge Conceptual Plan Public Meetings

Update, Monday March 5th: The location of the Royal Gorge meeting on Thursday, March 8th has been changed from Summit Station to Ice Lakes Lodge. The time remains 5:30 - 7:30pm.

Royal Gorge will be holding three public meetings where they will present an overview of their plans and gather feedback from the public on March 8th, 10th, and 17th. Please read the full press release and the article in the Sierra Sun for more details.

These meetings will be the first public release of the Royal Gorge conceptual plans. The public is the first group to hear this information. No official plans have been submitted to the county as of yet. Please try and find the time to attend these meetings so you can hear and give feedback directly to the developers.

This is it folks. Time to hear and be heard about the future of the Summit.

February Working Meeting Minutes

Apologies for the delay, but the working meeting minutes from February are now available. Jim Thomson reported back on the Placer County Conservation Plan meetings where the supervisors managed to agree on a conservation map to allow the process to continue. Whew. Sara Taillon reported on the First Five organization, which has some grant funds available.

We also discussed the grant contract with the Truckee-Tahoe Community Foundation, which recently approved a $5000 grant to help the DSAA with community development planning. The grant requirements were so well-worded, that the board decided to use them as the focus of our work for the next year! The elements involve achieving consensus amongst regional homeowner groups via a Memorandum of Understanding which will formalize the relationships between the HOA initiated at the Summit Summit and the development of a survey which will lead into writing of formal community planning documents.
